Happy Birthday Jamie

Today was December 9th, and for Jamie that could only mean one thing…

IT WAS HIS 29TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!

He got out of bed at 9:30 AM and went to shower to get ready for the day ahead, upon walking into the master bathroom, he noticed the first surprise of many that would come that day of days, there on the double-vanity was the Axe^® Apollo gift set that he’d been looking at for some time. The was also a sticky-note attached and the writing on it belonged to his beloved wife.

Jamie smiled broadly and opened the gift to use it right away, after using the shower gel and the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, he got out of the shower and used the deodorant and CHILLED face wash, he spray on the Apollo body spray he bought two weeks prior and went to get dressed in some relaxing clothing, he chose his favorite blue sweater and some jeans before heading downstairs to be greeted by his ten year old daughter Carina and his wife Cassie who were in the kitchen setting up a birthday breakfast for him. The breakfast was all of his favorites, Applewood sausages, crispy bacon, toast with butter and scrambled eggs with ham cubes inside.
“Happy Birthday dad!” Carina squealed happily as she ran up to him, giving him a big hug and kiss on the cheek upon reaching him. Jamie laughed and returned the hug. “Thank you princess, who’s idea was it for this wonderful breakfast?”

“Mine and mom’s, we both thought since it was your birthday, we’ll be giving you ‘royal treatment’ today.” She escorted her father to his seat at the table as Cassie set out the plates, it Was then that Jamie noticed a hand-made card by his plate that read:

Jamie felt tears of happiness welling in his eyes as he read the card, he saw the snowflakes where color an ice-blue and the thought that his little girl must have put into this card for him just made him feel like the luckiest man in the entire world. He hugged Carina and kissed her hair, whispering a thank you as he held his little angel close.

Later that day, the three were in the living room watching a football game on TV when there was a knock at the door, Cassie answered it and in walked Tom, Erik, Euthie and Elena. Jamie got up and welcomed them all, receiving birthday wishes from all except for Euthie who simply muttered that the places was “crawling with nicety’s” and watching her plop down in a chair in the shadows, to which the birthday man just shrugged.

Jamie received gifts from the guests as well, a new legal desk set from Tom, seeing as half of the things that comprised the original set were ether broken or missing. He received a home-made card from Elena along with a hand-drawn family picture of Jamie, Cassie and Carina out in the sunshine. Erik had created a composition in honor of Jamie’s birthday and his family, when the Phantom played it on the grand piano in the music room of the house, it created a warmth that made all who listened feel warm and happy inside. Then came the cake, it was a home-made chocolate cake, with vanilla frosting and the words HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMIE! written on it in blue icing along with a “2” and a “9” candle for his 29 years. The candle were lit, the lights dimmed and “Happy Birthday” was sung by everyone (save for Euthie who stood in the background silently), when Jamie had made his wish and blown out the candles everyone applauded. Cassie then cut the cake and served it with vanilla ice cream she’d bought earlier that day so it would be fresh for the party.

Later that night when the guests had gone home and little Carina was tucked in bed for the night, Cassie came up behind her husband and kissed the left side of his neck gently. “Happy Birthday, my love” she whispered, he turned around and the couple shared a passionate kiss. After a good two minutes of kissing, they parted and Jamie smiled.

“I think that I just got the greatest gift ever. You and Carina, even our friends. I honestly don’t think I could be happier.” He whispered to his wife before kissing her passionately once again.

This was one birthday that Jamie would never forget.
